The Economic Crime Activity, Terminological and Systematic Questions of Economic Crime in Hungary

Abstract

The legal protection of the institutes of the economic life by criminal law is much more sophisticated, more fragmented than it would be possible to place them under only three specific subjects. The conceptual sphere of the so-called black market is closely related to the economic crimes and offenses. The relatively-new concept in the Hungarian criminology terminology, however, has long been known in the developed countries, the so-called white-collar crime has long been present in the Anglo-Saxon countries. According to the foundation of this approach, the economy can be divided into black and white economy in terms of criminology, the latter term refers to the lawful, legal economy, where the economy actors fully comply with the legal requirements.
